Local Lib Dem Parliamentary Spokesperson Adrian Collett has launched a campaign to give power back to local people.

The five step plan has been launched by the Liberal Democrats to help clean up British politics. The plan would give people the right to sack their MP, greater freedom of information, limits on political donations, greater freedom of information and reform to make every vote count. For full details see www.takebackpower.org

Adrian Collett said "People are right to be angry with politicians about this. When people are caught fiddling the system they are sacked or face criminal prosecution. MPs seem to be going unpunished. It's just not on."

"MPs should have cancelled their summer holidays and worked night and day to clean up the system. I am making a pledge to local people that if elected, I will NOT claim for a second home like our current Conservative MP does."
