Farnborough Lib Dems launch campaign for change in Rushmoor4.00.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Sat 5th Apr 2008
Farnborough Lib Dems have launched a campaign to improve people's quality of life by making Rushmoor a greener, safer more vibrant place to live. While the Conservatives allow developers to suffocate our town, the Lib Dems want to put residents' quality of life first and reduce local congestion and pollution. Liberal Democrats are fighting to save Post Offices from closure and protect our local services. The Lib Dems' top priorities include: *Provide better quality street cleaning. *Fight to prevent Farnborough becoming another major airport. *Protect the character of our town by preserving Conservation Areas. *Work with Housing Associations to improve run-down estates. *Introduce cost-effective ways of improving public transport. *Increase recycling and reduce our contribution to climate change. *Foster vibrant local communities with a strong sense of civic pride.
