The Liberal Democrat vote surged across Rushmoor at this year's local elections while the Tory vote fell and Labour flatlined.
The Lib Dem vote went up by 8%, while the Tory vote fell by 9% and Labour were almost unchanged up by just 1%.
In Mayfield, Mike Manning was elected to the Council, replacing Craig Card who stood down meaning the Lib Dems retain all 3 seats for the ward.
In St Mark's ward which includes North Camp, Lib Dem Alistair Mackie was re-elected with an increased majority of 184 meaning the Lib Dems retained their 2 seats for this ward.
In Wellington ward in Aldershot, Mitch Manning achieved a massive 24% increase in the Lib Dem vote and pushed Labour into 3rd place.
There were some "near misses" in St John's and Heron Wood ward but everywhere else there were big increases in the Lib Dem vote.
The Lib Dems also consolidated their position in the Blackwater area of Aldershot constituency. In Frogmore and Darby Green, Lib Dem Bob Harward was re-elected to Hart Council with an increased majority of 934 which is huge for a local Council ward. The Lib Dems also won all 8 seats on Blackwater & Hawley Town Council.
