Charlie Fraser-Fleming (right) is pressing for a plan which will protect the school's facilities
Charlie Fraser-Fleming has condemned a decision by the Conservative County Council to close Farnborough's Oak Farm School in 2011 without producing a plan for the site's future.
Lib Dem Councillor Charlie Fraser-Fleming said, "I'm very unhappy a decision to close has been taken without the options for the future of the site having been considered."
Reassurances were given that community facilities would continue to be provided at the site but the County Council has yet to produce a funded plan to achieve this.
Charlie Fraser-Fleming pressed for a timescale to be set for a plan to be produced and the County Council has said an announcement will be made in July.
Lib Dem County Opposition Leader, Adrian Collett, fought the decision to close the school which was taken by a meeting of Tory County Councillors on 26th January.
Charlie said he will "continue to look for opportunities to get a good outcome for Oak Farm Community School because it's a great school and we need it."
