Hart Lib Dems launch campaign to keep the District's recovery going

Lib Dem-led Hart has sorted out the bin chaos under the Conservatives two years ago.
Lib Dem-led Hart District Council is continuing to recover from the chaos under the Conservatives two years ago. The Lib Dems are urging voters not to let the Tories throw it all away again.
Last year, the independent Audit Commission said: "Stronger leadership has resulted in significant progress..."
This year, their reports says "Investments made over the last two years are beginning to result in improved services."
Sorting out the Conservatives' mess cannot be done overnight but the Lib Dems have made a strong start and Hart is starting to turn the corner.
How Hart is recovering...
THEN: TORY HART
- Bins not emptied on time
- Our grassed areas were a disgrace
- Council finances were in chaos
- Council Tax had gone up 63% in 8 years
- They even tried to close the Citizens Advice Bureau!
NOW: LIB DEM-LED HART
- Almost all bins emptied when they should be
- Council reserves up from £2.2m to £2.6m
- Recycling up from 26% to 40% and still rising.
- Grass cutting and litter picking already getting much better
- The Citizens Advice Bureau has been saved
