Liberal Democrat campaigners Adrian Collett and Charlie Fraser-Fleming are concerned for our schools. Can any school rely on the Conservatives in times of need?
Hampshire Conservatives have been accused of letting down parents and children with the planned closure of a school wrecked by fire.
Most of Pinewood Infant School in Farnborough burnt down in April 2003 following an arson attack and the Conservative-run County Council has now decided to close the school.
Campaigner Charlie Fraser-Fleming says it is a callous decision.
"Pinewood Infant School is in a part of Farnborough which is cut off from the rest by the M3 motorway. It should not be closed without a full review."
Local people are furious and for the first time ever the independent Hampshire School Organisation Committee (SOC) has not supported a closure.
Farnborough campaigner Linda Neal has welcomed a commitment from the Liberal Democrats that they would rebuild any school hit by arson if they win control of Hampshire County Council in May.
But the local Conservative County Councillor refuses to support parents fighting the closure.
Charlie Fraser-Fleming has urged residents to keep fighting to save the school.
"Arsonists are dictating policy", added Charlie.
"Can any school now rely on the Conservatives to support them in their hour of need?"
